Blue-green infrastructure
Open spaces are more than just beautiful places. Through various ecosystem services, they are crucial building blocks for adapting to climate change. They are the prerequisite for sustainable rainwater management, contribute to groundwater recharge, cool the adjacent buildings and create species-rich habitats. We design structurally rich open spaces, green roofs and facade greening and integrates them into the overarching network of blue-green infrastructure.
Soil and earth mass management
Soil means life. Especially in large construction projects, the handling of earth masses is not only a cost factor, but also crucial for the ecological footprint of the project. Ideally in the early phases of the project, a holistic view of the topic of soil and earth masses can ensure the economic viability of construction projects. In exchange with other planners, Standard Design develops solutions for gentle and smart soil and earth mass management. Based on expert reports, we develop suitable solutions for soil improvement, drainage, recycling and disposal of earth masses. Digital terrain models help us to find the most economical terrain modeling (leveling)
